Problem is, that association does not go away because it’s associated with a positive emotion. The kid normally takes as he/she did something weong so they’re bad and then they laugh or giggle cause it’s silly and everyone loves shadenfrude. Parents too need to better educate why punishment exists and when it’s appropriate to put that on someone. Until schools put in place a disciplinary system that takes into account how kids view punishment, that won’t get better. It’s a horrible way to look at the world but that’s the actual reason for it. Not because of gender or orientation but because of behavioral disorders.
I had to put up with tons of shit being bullied because of it. Unfortunately, that is during a time when anything outside what the masses think is unacceptable turns into the childish fear of being scolded for saying something the adults say is wrong and the developing mind turns that fear into angst and rebellion that either takes the form of bucking the trend or conforming to those adult ideals by making fun of others and taking the mob mentality side of things. Nowadays it’s significantly more common for those in highschool now or even middle school perhaps to hear about and educate themselves on these things. That’s the truth as far as decades go back. No one is educated on the subject matter of gender and sexuality beyond he/she gay/bi and trans though that one people even myself sometimes have trouble remembering not to mix it up with something else. Yeah, let's ignore the fact that they AT LEAST refer to Angel Dust as a male 3 times in the pilot alone.Īs someone who’s learning about this stuff, I can tell you it’s incredibly easy to not understand. I find it really offensive that people keep being so damn confused about this simply because he happens to appear feminine. Angel Dust is NOT "genderfluid" or "genderqueer" or whatever other term you feel like slapping onto him. Also, I don't think Angel Dust gives a shit - he's clearly confident in his gender and sexuality.Īngel Dust is NOT a transgender woman. It does NOT mean he identifies as one.īut then others say "oh, but he didn't object to Niffty referring to him as a female", not realizing Angel Dust just didn't say anything because he had no room to talk since Niffty was acting hyper and wouldn't shut up. except, he isn't? The only thing we have is Niffty referring to him as one of three females at the hotel - but that is clearly supposed to be a JOKE! Angel Dust looks feminine, therefor can be mistaken for a woman. Like, I seriously even saw someone on Twitter say they refer to Angel Dust as a "they" because he is supposedly referred to as both "he" and "she". Why is that so difficult to grasp? I myself am a feminine gay cisgendered dude who crossdresses, and I couldn't be happier to finally have a character like Angel Dust to relate to in those ways.īut no, people keep being confused about the gender especially.
He just happens to be a feminine male who crossdresses. But in reality, it couldn't be more simple:Īngel Dust is a homosexual cisgendered male. LinksĮver since the pilot came out, I keep seeing idiots in the comment section being confused about Angel Dust's gender and sexual orientation. When a powerful entity known as the “Radio Demon” reaches out to Charlie to assist in her endeavors, her crazy dream is given a chance to become a reality. While most of Hell mocks her goal, her devoted partner Vaggie, and their first test subject, adult film-star Angel Dust, stick by her side. She opens a hotel in hopes that patients will be “checking out” into Heaven. Hazbin Hotel is the story of Charlie, the princess of Hell, as she pursues her seemingly impossible goal of rehabilitating demons to peacefully reduce overpopulation in her kingdom.
